The influx of San Francisco Bay Area's Chinese immigrants has grown exponentially in the past twenty years. According to the 2010 US Census, the number of Chinese in the Bay Area exceeded 600,000. This marked a 46.0% increase in Asian population since 2000--the fastest growth of any race group in the USA. As of 2015, the total Chinese population in the USA is estimated to be 4.95 million according to 2015 American Community Survey 1-year estimates (American FactFinder).

San Francisco and San Jose account for 2 of the top 4 metropolitan areas with highest Chinese population, at 519k and 194k, respectively*.  Only 53%* of Chinese Adults have indicated to be proficient in English.  This is a clear indicator that there is a huge demand for Chinese content by the Chinese population.  The unemployment rate of Chinese population in US is at 5.8*.
